ABN Consulting Group is an ERP implementation consultancy and official Odoo Ready Partner helping SMEs across Africa automate and scale their operations. As our project pipeline grows, we are looking for a driven Odoo Functional Consultant to join our delivery team.
This is not a single-discipline role. It sits at the intersection of three core competencies that together define what it means to deliver a successful ERP implementation.
Business Analysis: You will work directly with clients to understand how their business operates: their workflows, their pain points, and the outcomes they need. You will translate that understanding into a clear functional specification that drives configuration decisions. Without this, implementations are built on assumptions.
Functional Consulting: You will configure and customise Odoo modules to match what the business analysis has uncovered. This requires deep product knowledge, the ability to work within platform constraints, and the judgement to know when a workaround serves the client and when it creates future problems.
Project Management: You will own your projects end to end. From the kickoff call to go-live sign-off, you are responsible for the plan, the timeline, the documentation, UAT coordination, training, and post go-live support. You are the client's primary point of contact and the person accountable for delivery.
If you can bring all three of these together on a live client engagement and take full responsibility for the outcome, this role is for you.
Responsibilities
- Engage clients to understand business processes and requirements
- Configure and customise Odoo modules to match client specifications
- Manage projects end-to-end: planning, documentation, UAT, training, and go-live
- Collaborate with technical consultants to scope development requirements
- Support data migration including mapping and validation
- Contribute to pre-sales activities by advising on solution scope and effort
Requirements
- Hands-on experience implementing ERP systems
- Ability to analyse and map business processes
- Excellent written and verbal communication in English
- Ownership mindset: you take a project and see it through
- Experience across multiple industries: manufacturing, distribution, logistics, or services (advantageous)
- Familiarity with the Odoo implementation methodology (advantageous)
- Odoo functional certification (advantageous)
